A Journey Through Saab History: Classic Photos from the StateofNine Archives (2003)
As I’ve been working on the redesign of the new StateofNine.com website, I've found myself diving deep into the archives, rediscovering countless photographs that have documented not just the evolution of our Saab collection, but also the incredible experiences, events, and memories we've created over the years. Whether it’s shots of iconic models, behind-the-scenes moments from photoshoots, or snapshots from Saab conventions and car shows, these images tell a story of passion, dedication, and the enduring legacy of the Saab brand.
In the process of updating the site, I realized how many great memories are locked away in these photos—images of the Saabs we've owned, the places we've visited, and the people we've met. It's hard to believe how much time has passed, but these photos offer a window into the past, and I can't wait to share them with you.
To kick things off, I’m sharing a few classic images. These are just a small sample of the thousands of great photos we’ve collected over the years. From stunning shots of rare Saab models to candid moments at car shows and conventions, these photos not only capture the beauty of Saab vehicles but also the community that surrounds them.
Classic Saabs, Timeless Memories
One of the joys of working on the new website has been revisiting the stunning images from our many Saab-related adventures. Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of owning a number of classic Saabs—each one with its own unique story and charm. The photos I'm sharing today showcase some of those standout models, as well as a few rare and unforgettable moments in Saab history.
Take, for example, the beautiful shots from our photoshoots. Capturing a Saab in its best light, whether it’s on the open road or in a scenic location, has always been one of my favorite parts of the journey. There’s something about the combination of sleek Swedish engineering and the right backdrop that makes these cars look even more striking.
Then there are the photos from Saab conventions and car shows. It’s always a thrill to see so many enthusiasts gathered around these beloved cars. From the unique customization of older models to the more modern iterations, these events have always been a great reminder of the community that Saab has fostered over the years. I can’t wait to share some of these photos with you—each one tells a story of camaraderie, shared passion, and of course, some incredible cars.
On-Site Photos and Behind-the-Scenes Moments
Of course, not all of these photos are taken at grand events. There are also the more intimate, behind-the-scenes shots—often at locations where we’ve had the chance to work directly with our vehicles, or visit rare and interesting Saab-related locations. These photos are more personal, but they add another layer to the Saab story. Whether it's a glimpse of a Saab at a local meet-up or a shot of one of our cars in its natural habitat, these images offer a more authentic and unfiltered look at the Saab experience.
So Much More to Come
This is just the beginning! As we continue to update and build out the StateofNine.com website, we’ll be sharing more and more photos. There are literally thousands of images to sift through, and I’m excited to bring you along for the ride. These photos not only represent the Saabs we’ve owned, but they also capture the heart of the Saab community—one that has remained strong despite the passage of time.
Stay tuned for more updates, and be sure to check back regularly as we add new galleries and content. If you’ve been part of this journey with us over the years, or if you're just discovering StateofNine, I hope these photos inspire you as much as they’ve inspired me.
A Big Thanks to the Saab Community
I want to take a moment to thank the amazing Saab community for all the memories, support, and enthusiasm over the years. Whether we’ve met at a car show or online, your shared love for these incredible machines has made all of this possible. I look forward to continuing the journey with you and seeing where the next chapter takes us.
